SPECIAL BONUS:   “Gotham”  What does it really mean?

Listen to the Roan Mountain Radio episode #045 to hear Jamey discuss the Olde English origin of the word.

** Jamey’s reference to Jennifer Bauer’s book, Roan Mountain, History of an Appalachian Treasure, on page 33, reference to 1880’s scientis Helen R. Edson. Helen spent the winter on the mountain in a small cabin to study the effects of cold and moisture at high altitudes.

Jennifer’s presentation, will answer the question: Why is there such high biodiversity in the Southern Appalachian Mountains?
